Innovative Material Forum Highlights | DSunsorb UV-1164 Shines at Product Launch

Last Friday, around 400 technical experts and supplier representatives from the polymer industry gathered together to carry out in-depth exchanges on core topics such as innovative processes for high-performance plastics, development of advanced resins and application of functional additives. Together with more than 30 pioneering companies in the industry, Disheng Technology created a technological ecosystem and presented solutions covering the entire chain of material innovation, including innovative resins, functional additives, high-performance fillers, masterbatches and modifier masterbatches.

Disheng sent its sales team to participate in the conference and communicate with new and old customers. At the event, Disheng introduced DSunsorb® UV-1164 to the participants and made a detailed demonstration of DSunsorb® UV-1164's own characteristics and comparative advantages.

DSunsorb® UV-1164 is a triazine UV absorber with a molecular weight of 509 and a melting point of 89-93℃.

Self-characterization:

• The strong hydrogen bond of DSunsorb® UV-1164 makes it less susceptible to disruption by solvent molecules or polar polymers and it favors the formation of intermolecular hydrogen bonds by polar groups in the polymer matrix.
• DSunsorb® UV-1164 is insensitive to metal ion residues and weakly interacts with catalyst residues, and therefore is not susceptible to failure or discoloration in polymers containing transition metal catalyst residues (e.g. polyolefins).

Comparative Advantages:

• Absorption efficiency in the UVB region far superior to other types of UV absorbers;
• High absorption efficiency of UV absorbers with low impact on the color of the final product, which is particularly important for transparent or light-colored products;
• High thermal stability.
